Allow me to introduce myself:
Toby Ritte-van Luijn,1*, more than 30 years independent, international ‘tour manager’ (f.i. organisation and accompaniment of small exclusive, mainly American, groups for foreign commissioners). These, mainly very exotic, tours have brought me to all corners of the world
During these years of experience, the question: “Couldn’t this/that be done in a different way”?, crossed my mind frequently. Surely, you know the feeling!?
Toby Ritte-van Luijn,2*, gave art-history courses by training the museum guides of the Dutch Guides Association from 1975-1984. Since then innumerable art-appreciation courses all over the country and abroad.
From these 2(**) components came, first hesitatingly with tours to St.Petersburg, Russia (1997), Berlin & Dresden, Germany (1998), Egypt & Sinai (1999), South Africa, Zimbabwe & Botswana (2000), Barcelona & Bilbao, Spain (2002) finally Tailor-Made.
The wish to organise 3-4 tours per year to areas that are known from personal experience, to visit these parts of the world with people who are like-minded, and want to be ‘surprised’ without the worries for details, seems to supply a want. We use: 4* or 5* hotels, the best guides (+agents!) and come back with legendary stories. Not necessarily super cultural, but always quality. Value for money!
The name ‘Tailor-Made’ means that all travel wishes small, big, exotic, simple, (seemingly) impossible, can be arranged. Where big travel agencies give you brochures, Tailor-Made will search for a solution, made to measure! That can be: a week sunshine on the island of Malta; a few days Disney-Paris; a tailor-made roundtrip by car through Spain; a romantic (exclusive) hotel in Paris, Rome, Madrid, Florence, Istanbul or Prague; a reunion in South-Africa; an adventurous journey through Patagonia or a golf tour where ever! You name it, we organise it. Because ‘cannot’ does not exist in our vocabulary!
